SINGER/SONGWRITER STARTS M.U.S.I.C. GROUP TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERISM

SINGER/SONGWRITER STARTS M.U.S.I.C. GROUP TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERISM

SACRAMENTO, CA – Brian Gardner has been a drummer, guitarist and songwriter for 42 years in Northern California. But now his idea is to reach out to the world of musicians no matter which country they live or perform in. The vehicle for creating such a “brotherhood of musicians” the world over, is a group he has started simply called, M.U.S.I.C. which stands for: Musicians Understanding the Social Impact of Contribution.

“M.U.S.I.C. is an effort to connect musicians all over the world and to get them to realize what a powerful group musicians are, as a force for community betterment. M.U.S.I.C. has no membership dues required, no paper promotional materials, no buildings and it includes and welcomes musicians representing every social, economic, political and religious background. The purpose of M.U.S.I.C. is to educate, support, encourage and energize musicians in getting active doing good things, encouraging others to do so and speaking out on issues important to them, which will better their own communities”, said M.U.S.I.C. founder Brian Gardner.

As a way to protect their songs, Musicians copyright their works. However Gardner has a very different idea regarding his creation.

“I’m not interested in “owning” what I have created with M.U.S.I.C. What I am very interested in, is sending out this message to the worldwide “family” of musicians and encouraging them to create positive effects in their own communities through the unique ideas that they come up with – issues that they feel are important to speak out on and to take action for and then hearing from them about the positive differences they have made”, said Gardner.
